Data science is a multidisciplinary field that uses nitric methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from data in various forms, both structured and unstructured. It can also be an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, and insights of an application of knowledge and actionable insights from data across a broad range of application domains. It is the study of where information comes from, what it represents and how it can be turned into a valuable resource in creation of business and IT strategies. Data science helps to identify patterns can help an organization rein in costs, increase efficiencies, recognize new market opportunities and increase organization’s competitive advantage. (Source: Edupedia Unlimited). It is a concept to unify statistics, data analysis, machine learning and their related methods in order to understand and analyze actual phenomena with data. Data science is the field of study that combines domain expertise, programming skills and knowledge of math and statistics to extract meaningful insights from data. Data science is a modern day large scale statistical inference.

Data science is a “concept to unify statistics, data analysis, informatics, and their related methods” in order to “understand and analyze actual phenomena” with data. It uses techniques and theories drawn from many fields within the context of. Mathematics, statistics, computer science, information science, and domain knowledge. However, data science is different from computer science and information science. Turing Award winner Jim Gray imagined data science as a “fourth paradigm” of science (empirical, theoretical, computational, and now data-driven) and asserted that “everything about science is changing because of the impact of information technology” and the data deluge. How does data science work under the hood. Let’s say tola is a data scientist, let’s see how a day goes when he works on data science projects. As a data scientist, it is very important to understand the business problem first, ask relevant questions, understand and defines objectives for the problem that needs to be tackled.

What does a Data scientists do:- they collect or gather Raw Data from the Real world and then Process and Analyze the Data which are Raw and they bring out a Meaningful Data out it which is the to be a useful insight…

Arms of Data science:-

  1. Data Analysis
  2. Data warehousing
  3. Data Visualization
  4. Machine Learning… Noted:-That the most important techniques that you should know as a Data scientists are:- 1.Regression — Custering — Decision Tree — Support Vector Machine — Naive baiyes… Dhar, V.
